1964 Buick Electric 225 Super Wildcat Convertible. Believed to be one of only six Electra convertibles ordered with the high performance 425 cubic inch "Super Wildcat" V8 fed by two four-barrel carburetors, this is an exceptionally rare car that has been restored to a concours standard.The Electra 225 was Buick's top-of-the-line offering at the time, and 1964 was the first year for the three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission (a big upgrade from the two-speed Dynaflow). A 401 cubic inch "Nailhead" V8 was standard equipment; the Wildcat 465 (so named due to its 465 lb-ft of torque) came standard in the Riviera and was optional for the Wildcat and Electra models. But only a handful of the most performance-oriented buyers selected the Super Wildcat option, outfitted with dual quads.
