As most can imagine, the Mini came about because of a fuel shortage in 1956. It was being rationed in the UK, so BMC designed the space saving, transverse engine, front-wheel drive layout. It allowed 80% of the floor plan to be occupied by passengers and luggage. It even can occupy two 6'10 driver and front passenger. Introduced in 1959 and built through the 2000 it is one of the most iconic car designs of all time, ranking up there with the Model T and VW Beetle.
This particular Mini Mark IV is nothing short of spectacular. The 1979 offered here has the MTB2 engine package with a Honda B16 DOHC VTEC with a 5 speed manual transmission.
