Exterior
The car was purchased from a person that intended on making it a "Baja Convertible". Fortunately, they didn't get far with that bad idea. The rear apron had been cut off just above the taillight area and that's the only deviation from stock. It was professionally replaced early in the restoration process. The car is rust free and retains most original chrome trim, etc. The entire car was painted inside and out in the correct red color. The paint is excellent now 20 years later. The front bumper has been polished and has some minor pitting as it is original. The front fenders are not correct for 67 as the do not have the correct smaller headlights. The fenders were on the car at purchase and some have said that there are 67's built with older style fenders. The top is like brand new. All lights work, including the euro style taillights with amber turn signals. It has been kept detailed and stored in a garage. I would rate the exterior a 9 out of 10
Interior
The entire interior of the car was replaced during the restoration process. It is in great condition with no notable flaws. The top headliner is excellent. The dash knobs are correct for 1967, so is the radio. the radio does not work but everything else works great. The rear window cranks are not correct 67 only cranks, which are pretty hard to find. The painted interior surfaces are perfect. The seats are comfortable and it has been kept clean and stored with the top up. The convertible boot is like new and fits perfectly. I would rate the interior a 9 out of 10
Mechanical
This car fires right up idles and drives with no issues. It has a front disc brake conversion that was professionally installed a couple of years ago along with an engine seal refresh. The brake conversion made a great driving car even better. The car has plenty of power from the original 44hp. 1.5liter engine. The engine is stock with the exception of the oil spout and air cleaner. It also has an aftermarket timing crank pulley installed. All of this is easy to reverse and the original air cleaner is included with the car. The water drip tray has been removed from under the hood for better engine cooling. I would rate the mechanical condition a 9 out of 10.
