1963 AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 BJ MKII finished in black 89000 Miles
A real head turner, this Healey is finished in black over matching upholstery with red piping and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a black convertible top, 15 chrome knock-off wire wheels, a wing-mounted mirror, front disc brakes, and twin SU carburetors. Service under current ownership included installation of an electronic ignition system, an electric fuel pump, and a finned aluminum oil pan along with replacing the rear shocks. Knock-off 15 wire wheels have been re-chromed and are wrapped in 165SR Michelin XZX tires. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums, and the suspension utilizes front coils and rear leaf springs. The brakes were bled and the rear spring pads and shocks were replaced in June 2021. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox with an electrically actuated Laycock de Normanville overdrive that can be engaged in third and fourth gears via a dash switch.
