This is a low-mileage example that would have been a very nice car but for the fact it was poorly stored for a good amount of years so the paint has suffered accordingly. The main interior of the car, however, is in exemplary condition for its age and I will cover below.
The paint is predominantly original, showing fade, buff-through, discolouration and small nicks and bumps. The body is rather straight however, with no signs of accident damage and only very minor rust spots in a couple of unseen corners. This makes the car a perfect example for a quality repaint – which it needs. From a distance it does present shiny as-is and if you wanted just a “decent driver”, you could get away with perhaps repainting the top-half Silver Sand colour only, however we believe the car is more deserving than this. The underside is surprisingly clean and rust free. All long wheel base cars came with an Everflex vinyl top as standard fitment. This one has had it removed and the roof repainted. Some like this look but we believe a replacement Everflex top in beige or brown is what should be done.
The bright-work to include chrome and stainless steel are all in fine condition and present nicely. There are no issues with the grill, mascot and all the hubcaps are in good shape.
The interior is quite a different story. It is actually rather excellent compared to the exterior. The leather is all 100% original Rolls-Royce Connolly hide and in amazingly wonderful condition that remains soft and supple without any cracks or tears. It has never been redyed and looks gorgeous. The floor carpets are also in top condition.
